i first started writing a screenplay called back in the summer of '89 when i was in the hospital, i guess to keep the memory of my friends alive. i kept writing it through junior and senior year, at the end of senior year (and kind of in honor of a derelict i met in in school suspension) the title was changed to andy's beach. it stayed andy's beach for years and years, through rewrite and rewrite, and i (ever-so-blindly) tried to get it produced at the jersey shore. i rented out a house on ocean avenue with my "film company" and was losing control of everything, so i called everything off.
but andy's beach was my life then. i worked on it for 3 1/2 years after high school, mega-intensively for three months in a town house in doylestown, pennsylvania, and then hired my "film crew". well, they were taking advantage of blind ol' me, ripped me off for $10,000 or so, but at least i didn't sign anything.
here's the finished product. 16 til i die. it opens a new window, and it's registered wga-style.
